Hebrew Class for Bar/Bat Mitzvah Preparation
Our Goal is to be able to lead and understand the worship service.

Click on the books on top of the page to go back to the Home page.
If you want to save a file, just right click on a link to "Save Target to" your computer.

All Prayers or Blessings required for Bar / Bat Mitzvah can be found in this pdf file with a Completion Chart at the end. To view or print only the Requirement Completion chart, click here. The chart shows level of difficulty of the prayers, the order of the prayers in the service, and page numbers for the blessings/prayers in the file. Food Blessings and Havdallah Blessings are now included in the file.

If someone who does not know Hebrew is helping the student practice Hebrew, there is a transliteration for all Hebrew Requirements here. Students should NOT use this file.

Use (green links) Sound Files on right to  listen to the prayers, or download the audio for practice.
Use (red links) Flashcards to practice reading individual words.
The (maroon links) ShowMe Videos allow students to look at the words and listen by watching videos.
Blue links with rounded edges are Google slides with options to listen to each phrase. These are new and should prove to be very helpful. These are being updated - adding audio files and fixing phrase breaks.

Keep returning to this page and find new things posted.
Use the "Questions / Comments" link below if there is something specific you want posted.
